There are some religions that claim that you have to pray with a pastor or priest for God to hear you. They will also claim that this is the only way to go to God in prayer whether to confess or anything else. However, this isn’t true at all.
The bible says in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man is Jesus Christ.”.
In other words, the only way to get to God is through Christ. You don’t need some guy in a robe to tell you to so whatever act so that you’ll be restored. Why? Because not only is he not the mediator but he has no power or control on that.
I had gone to a Catholic Mass once with a friend of mine a while back. As they were serving communion it was explained to me that I couldn’t take part unless the priest blessed me first. That didn’t make sense to me at all. I don’t need some guy to tell me I’m blessed because I already know that. He doesn’t have that authority to bless me anyways.
So, people or groups that claim you have to talk to a pastor or a priest to be cleansed or saved is wrong. The bible clearly says that they cannot take your sins from you. They do not have that authority at all. So, if you’re in a place like that, I would think about it and check the actions against the bible.
