Phineas and Ferb

~Brandon James Scott Scholl

Today I have been thinking about some of the most obscure topics. This one is a good example.

There is currently a T.V. show on Disney Channel that’s called Phineas and Ferb. Basically, these two kids that must be in elementary school who spend their entire summer vacation coming up with elaborate ideas to do everyday. Things from building an amazing roller coaster to a nuclear submarine and shrinking themselves. With these various activities and events that happen everyday for these two.

However, the more I think about it the more I’m puzzled by something. These two youngsters have to buy supplies to build these numerous things. Whether it be wood, metal, or whatever they need to fill the requirements to accomplish their task for that day.

My question is this: How in the world do they get the funding to get this stuff? Obviously, from seeing their parents and their lifestyle (as well as their oufits) they aren’t wealthy in any definition of the word. So, how do they do it? I have come up with the answer.

First of all, what kind of names are Phineas and Ferb? The answer: they’re nicknames that were given to them. A good comparison is Bonnie and Clyde only a lot more updated. Here we have two children in need of funds to get materials to fulfill their dreams and urges to be creative beyond the normal imagination for their age. So, the way they get their money? They hack into people’s bank accounts. If they’re able to do the mathematics to build things like a time machine or robots of themselves then I see no way how it is a stretch for them to accomplish this task as well.

So, If we break it down the show is basically about two children who are criminals, who do things that are illegal. Not only do they steal money but they also are breaking the law by not having permits to build things like a giant roller coaster or a giant snowy hill.

What kind of television are we allowing our children to be exposed to nowadays? We must seriously consider all aspects of shows that our children watch.

Now, after reading all of that I will say one more thing before leaving. If you take any of this serious you’re a moron and yes, I said you’re a moron. This was meant as a simple thought that I had pondered for about five minutes and felt like writing. There is nothing wrong with this show. I, personally, do not care for it but my siblings enjoy the various adventures that these two kids go on. Anyways, What do you think?
