When you sit in church singing songs, what do you feel? Do you feel empty? That perhaps it’s pointless?
Last week something was asked in a bible study I went to. Do you truly believe what you really believe is truth?
Now, two things you may think from that. Either, “of course, im a christian, I read what the bible says.”. Or ” what in the world does that mean?
It means when you read the events in the bible do you really understand he God that you serving? When you’re in church during praise and worship do you realize what you are singing? You are talking about a God that can truly do anything that surpasses any imagination.
Whether you realize it or not you may not be in complete understanding. You can stand there and read what’s on the projector but take a moment and REALLY read the words. The bible says He did things like raise people from the dead (John 11:39-44).
Do you worry when bills are due an there’s no way you can pay them? Are you afraid when your child is sick? Or when you’re fighting a personal problem? I’m not saying if you had enough faith you wouldn’t. What I’m saying is He can help you. “You can do all things through He who strengthens you” (Philippians 4:13).
So, when you sing those songs, honestly ask yourself that question, do I truly believe what I really belies is truth? Then think about the words you singing and who you’re singing about.
